Explore the art of patchwork, where hand-sewn pieces of fabric are joined together to create beautiful and functional items. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience in sewing, crocheting, knitting or embroidery. No sewing machine is required - just a needle, thread and scraps of fabric - making the technique simple and accessible. In addition to learning a new skill, the workshop encourages thinking about fast fashion and textile waste, and the impact it has on the environment. During the workshop, participants will learn this upcycling technique and create their own designs with professional guidance. The workshop leader is Vlatka Nazor, a fashion designer with many years of experience. Vlatka learned to sew with the help of her mother. Falling in love with drawing and the creative process of creating clothes, she enrolled in the School of Fine Arts in Split, after which she completed her studies in fashion design at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb. She is the owner of a fabric store in Split - Amika tekstil.
